Training Providers
The South Florida Workforce (SFW) Board's training
system encourages training designs that provide training in high demand occupational
areas through the Educational Scholarships or Retention Individual
Training Account (RITA), both being a referral voucher. The Educational Scholarships and RITAs
can only be used at SFW approved institutions which may be public educational
institutions, i.e. Miami-Dade County Public Schools or private vocational
schools or colleges. Further, all training must be in occupations that are
on the State and Regional targeted Occupations List. The Board has a quarterly
review policy that allows educational institutions that are not on the SFW
approved list to be added, if they meet the Board's programmatic and fiscal
requirements. In addition, this policy allows SFW approved institutions to
add additional training areas as long as these areas are on the State and
Regional Targeted Occupations List.
All SFW approved institutions and the training
programs they offer appear on this page. The information contained in this
website can be accessed by either the name of the educational institution
or by selecting the occupational area. Additionally, information is available
on the cost of the various programs, locations, contact information, and length
of each program offered.
