Youth Council: This Council shall be responsible for making policy recommendations to the SFWIB on the matters assigned to it by the Chair or, in the event of a vacancy in the office of the Chair, by the Vice-Chair. This Committee shall develop policy recommendations to the SFWIB in the following areas:

Focus: Developing and recommending youth employment and training policies and practices.

Objectives: The objective of this council include, but are not limited to:

  • Bullet ImageSpacer ImageRecommending eligible youth service providers.
  • Bullet ImageSpacer ImageBroadening the youth employment and training focus in the region to incorporate a youth development perspective.
  • Bullet ImageSpacer ImageEstablishing linkages with other organizations serving youth within the South Florida Workforce region.
